In 2020 the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forced stores around the world to close their doors and revamp the way they conducted business. 2021 has recently seen COVID-19 regulations relaxing allowing stores to open back up and return to normalcy. For Maplewood Boutique this means participating in events throughout the summer, starting a new fashion blog on the store website, and revamping their section of merchandise at REVERIE
in Cuyahoga Falls.
Summer 2021 sees Maplewood scheduled to participate in nine events around the northeast Ohio area, this previous event having taken place on June 12 at Lakefront Market in Huron, Ohio. The iconic Babs truck (named after the spunky cartoon bunny) will be present at every event stocked full of summer wardrobe essentials available for purchase throughout the event. Babs will be in North Canton City Square on June 26 for the 720 June Market
selling unique summer pieces. To see where Babs will be later this summer head over to our calendar to see the upcoming events schedule here
Kristin and Liz have enlisted the help of their intern Mckenzie Uhrig to help launch a new blog to connect with their customers in a different way. The blog will give customers a glimpse at what goes on behind the scenes at Maplewood Boutique during the summer. The blog will also include an inside look at events, exclusive access to styling tips, updated information on current inventory, and an account of what it’s like to intern with Maplewood as told by the current summer interns.
With so many new and exciting ideas being implemented and events coming up, Maplewood Boutique owners Kristin and Liz, are looking forward to a memorable summer. Here is what the two had to say on the future of Maplewood this summer,
“After Covid started last year, we took a step back from events for the first time since launching. We still tried to do other things to connect with our customers, like our virtual fashion show and focusing more online. This summer we feel good about getting back to a pared-down schedule of events and getting to connect in person again. Our main focus going forward is exactly how we first started...to bring you the best in women's fashion while delivering a friendly, approachable shopping environment. Hope to see you all at an event soon!”
In REVERIE, the gift/apparel store located in downtown Cuyahoga Falls on Front Street, there are different collections from various designers including a collection curated by our very own Maplewood Boutique. Maplewood’s collection currently features many must-have essentials like this hand-embroidered black cap; listed below are a few of the current Maplewood products.
